Ballas MetroBus Center

Ballas MetroBus Center

MetroBus Centers. The Agency’s MetroBus centers serve as central hubs for multiple MetroBus routes. These MetroBus routes connect to major employment, educational, commercial, recreational, and health care centers via a single, coordinated transfer. The centers were funded by a grant from the Federal Transit Administration and the local ½ cent sales tax for transit.

The Ballas MetroBus Center located at the intersection of Ballas Road and Interstate 64/US 40 in Town and County, Missouri opened for service January 23, 2003. The center emulates historic train stations commonly found on the frontier prairie and is similar to train depot structures in the Kirkwood and Webster Groves, Missouri. The Ballas MetroBus Center has 80 commuter parking spaces and a climate-controlled waiting area.
