Upcoming Schedule Changes

Service Change: Monday, December 2, 2024

Metro Transit will make schedule and routing changes to 25 MetroBus routes in Missouri and Illinois on Monday, December 2, to improve transit service for customers as part of a quarterly service change. This includes:

• Expanding coverage to serve new areas on some routes
• Increasing service frequency on several routes
• Introducing new streamlined routes with less transfers
• Schedule and routing adjustments to improve on-time performance and transit connections

These improvements are possible due to the success of Metro’s recruitment efforts over the last year, which have strengthened workforce numbers and added dozens of new operators to the MetroBus team.

There are no changes to MetroLink service on December 2.

MISSOURI

#21 Watson | New Map | New Schedule: Route expanded to serve the Fenton area, including the Amazon warehouse and Wally’s at Assembly Parkway.

#31 Chouteau | New Map | New Schedule: Route extended to serve the Brentwood I-64 Transit Center, provides additional service to Brentwood Pointe. Bus will not enter Maplewood-Manchester Transit Center, but will serve stops on Manchester Road immediately adjacent to the transit center.

#35 Rock Road | New Map | New Schedule: Route extended to serve St. Charles Rock Road west of I-270, provides all-day service to Boulder Industrial Area on select trips (previously served by #100 Hazelwood), and all trips serving St. Charles Rock Road at Pennridge.

#40 Broadway-Halls Ferry | New Map | New Schedule: This new route combines and replaces the #40 N. Broadway and #174X Halls Ferry Express, and provides customers with one convenient, continuous MetroBus route between the North County Transit Center, Riverview Transit Center and downtown St. Louis.

#41 Lee | New Map | New Schedule: Route serves Halls Ferry and McLaran near Riverview (previously served by #174X Halls Ferry Express), with service to senior living and the public library.

#42 Sarah | New Map | New Schedule: Route adjustment, now operates on Ashland, Bishop P. L. Scott and Labadie.

#47 Hanley | REPLACED: Please see #79 Ferguson-Clayton

#49 Lindbergh | New Map | New Schedule: Route expanded to serve Mercy Hospital South via Tesson Ferry Road

#57 Manchester | New Map | New Schedule: Service frequency during some weekday and weekend hours increased to 40 minutes from 60 minutes, route no longer connects with the #31 Chouteau.

#60 Shepley-Lilac | New Map | New Schedule: Route extended to serve Christian Hospital Northeast, Hazelwood East High and National Records Center, with select trips to Missouri Veterans Home

#61 Chambers | New Map | New Schedule: Route adjustment, no longer serves Schnucks Distribution Center, which is instead served by the new #76 N. Hanley Shuttle route.

#64 Lucas Hunt | New Schedule::Weekday service frequency increased to 40-minute frequency from 60 minutes.

#73 Carondelet | New Schedule: Schedule adjustment, early-morning weekday trip added to connect with #4 Natural Bridge

#74 Florissant | New Schedule: Minor schedule adjustments to improve on-time performance and connections with other buses or MetroLink

#76 McDonnell-Waterford | REPLACED: Please see #76 N. Hanley Shuttle, #77 Village Square, #78 Bellefontaine, #100 Hazelwood

#76 North Hanley Shuttle | New Map | New Schedule: This new route serves areas previously covered by the #76 McDonnell-Waterford, #78 Bellefontaine and #100 Hazelwood routes. It operates between Old Town Florissant and the North Hanley Transit Center, providing service to employment sites including Schnucks Distribution Center, Pepsico Distribution Center, Northwest Medical Center, St. Francois Social Security Office, with select weekday trips to Hazelwood Logistics Center.

#77 Village Square | New Map | New Schedule: Route extended to serve areas previously served by the #76 McDonnell-Waterford. Route serves Lighthouse for the Blind, Pershall Road, but does not serve Dunn Road or PepsiCo, which are served by the #76 N. Hanley Shuttle route.

#78 Bellefontaine | New Map | New Schedule: Route extended west to serve Parker Road, Waterford Road, McCluer North High, James Eagan Center, Grandview Plaza and other areas previously served by the #76 McDonnell-Waterford. Service on New Halls Ferry Road provided by #77 Village Square.

#79 Ferguson-Clayton | New Map | New Schedule: This new route combines and replaces the #47 Hanley and #79 Ferguson routes, and provides customers with one convenient, continuous MetroBus route between the North County Transit Center, City of Ferguson, North Hanley Transit Center, and Clayton Transit Center.

#100 Hazelwood | New Map | New Schedule: Route modified from a loop route to a two-way, eastbound-westbound route that serves Boeing, Valley Industries, Amazon, Hazelwood Trade Port, as well as areas of Hanley Road and McDonnell Blvd. previously served by the #76 McDonnell-Waterford. Boulder Industrial and St. Charles Rock Road is served by the #35 Rock Road.

#174X Halls Ferry Express | REPLACED: Please see #40 Broadway-Halls Ferry

ILLINOIS

#6 Rosemont | New Schedule: Early-morning weekday trip added to connect with MetroLink at Fairview Heights Transit Center

#12 O’Fallon-Fairview Heights | New Map | New Schedule: This route is streamlined to reduce trip times and provide faster service. Provides service between Fairview Heights Transit Center, Regency Park and St. Elizabeth Hospital on every trip, and continues to Highway 50, Highway 158, and Shiloh-Scott Transit Center every other trip. Route does not serve Cambridge, 1st Street and Smiley.

#14 Memorial Hospital | New Map | New Schedule: Route modified to a loop route on its western end via Highway 15.

#15 Belleville-Shiloh | New Map | New Schedule: Route extended to serve Green Mount Crossing, operating between Belleville Transit Center, Memorial Hospital, Shiloh Veterans Clinic, Frank Scott Parkway, Green Mount Crossing and Central Parkway. Service to 2nd Street and Lincoln provided by the #12 O’Fallon-Fairview Heights.

#16 St. Clair Square | New Map | New Schedule: Route operates between Belleville Transit Center, Swansea Transit Center, St. Clair Square and Madison County Transit (MCT) in Collinsville to provide better service to the most popular destinations. Service between Belleville and College Transit Centers provided by the #23 Belleville-College route.

#23 Belleville-College | New Map | New Schedule: The new route (previously proposed as the #23 SWIC) provides service between Belleville and College Transit Centers, covering areas previously served by the #16 St. Clair Square, including new service along Sherman Street and Lebanon Road. Old Collinsville Road at Lebanon is served by the #15 Belleville-Shiloh. Additionally, due to customer input, all MetroBus service along West Blvd. remains in place, served by the #23 Belleville-College.
