Metro Transit Elevators

All Metro Transit Centers and MetroLink Stations are accessible, with ramps, sidewalks and other infrastructure in place to accommodate all passengers and mobility devices. Most centers and stations are located at street level, but elevators are available for areas that are elevated or underground.

Below is a list of all Metro Transit locations with elevators, and instructions on how to proceed if you require an elevator and it is out of service.

MetroLink Station & Transit Center Elevators

Lambert Airport Terminal #1 MetroLink Station
Options: Elevator (this elevator is managed and maintained by the airport)
If Elevator is Out of Service: 


Lambert Airport Terminal #2 MetroLink Station
Options: Elevator (this elevator is managed and maintained by the airport)
If Elevator is Out of Service: 


Forest Park-DeBaliviere Transit Center
Options: Two Elevators | One on each end of MetroLink platform
If Elevator is Out of Service:

  • Please use the working elevator on the other side of the station platform.

Central West End Transit Center
Options: Elevator
If Elevator is Out of Service: 

  • Leaving Central West End Station: Head north from the MetroLink entrance on Euclid to Nash Way. Head east on Nash Way to the bus area located in the parking facility by Taylor Ave., continue through the facility to the pedestrian walkway to the MetroLink platform.
  • Going to Central West End Station: Exit the platform using the east walkway to the bus area located in the parking facility. Continue north to Nash Way and then travel west on Nash Way to reach locations on Euclid.

Grand MetroLink Station
Options: Two Elevators | From street level to bridge, one serving southbound Grand Blvd. and one serving northbound Grand Blvd.
If Elevator is Out of Service:

  • A Metro shuttle van will be available to help customers who require an elevator travel between the MetroLink station at ground level and the bus stops on the bridge. Please contact XXX-XXX-XXXX if you need any assistance with the shuttle.

Union Station MetroLink Station
Options: Elevator
If Elevator is Out of Service: 

  • Leaving Union Station: You will need to catch the train at the Civic Center MetroLink Station, located just one block east. Leave Union Station on foot, head east on Clark Avenue and then turn south into the Civic Center Station.
  • Going to Union Station: Ride MetroLink to the Civic Center MetroLink Station and travel to Union Station by foot. Head north from Civic Center to Clark Avenue, head west on Clark until you reach Union Station.

8th & Pine MetroLink Station
Options: Two Elevators | One serving westbound trains, one serving eastbound trains
If Elevator is Out of Service: 

  • Leaving 8th & Pine (Westbound): Cross the street to use the working eastbound elevator to reach the MetroLink platform. Board the next eastbound train and travel to Laclede’s Landing Station. Exit the train, cross the platform and board a westbound train to finish your trip.
  • Leaving 8th & Pine (Eastbound): Cross the street to use the working westbound elevator to reach the MetroLink platform. Board the next westbound train and travel to Civic Center Station. Exit the train, cross the platform and board an eastbound train to finish your trip.
  • Going to 8th & Pine (Westbound): If the westbound elevator is out of service, remain on the train to Civic Center Station. Exit the train, cross the platform and board an eastbound train back to 8th & Pine and the working eastbound elevator.
  • Going to 8th & Pine (Eastbound): If the eastbound elevator is out of service, remain on the train to Laclede’s Landing Station. Exit the train, cross the platform and board a westbound train back to 8th & Pine and the working westbound elevator.

Convention Center MetroLink Station
Options: Two Elevators | One serving westbound trains, one serving eastbound trains
If Elevator is Out of Service: 

  • Leaving Convention Center (Westbound): Cross the street to use the working eastbound elevator to reach the MetroLink platform. Board the next eastbound train and travel to Laclede’s Landing Station. Exit the train, cross the platform and board a westbound train to finish your trip.
  • Leaving Convention Center (Eastbound): Cross the street to use the working westbound elevator to reach the MetroLink platform. Board the next westbound train and travel to Civic Center Station. Exit the train, cross the platform and board an eastbound train to finish your trip.
  • Going to Convention Center (Westbound): If the westbound elevator is out of service, remain on the train to Civic Center Station. Exit the train, cross the platform and board an eastbound train back to 8th & Pine and the working eastbound elevator.
  • Going to Convention Center (Eastbound): If the eastbound elevator is out of service, remain on the train to Laclede’s Landing Station. Exit the train, cross the platform and board a westbound train back to 8th & Pine and the working westbound elevator.

Laclede’s Landing MetroLink Station
Options: Elevator
If Elevator is Out of Service: 

  • Leaving Laclede’s Landing: You will need to catch the train at the Convention Center MetroLink Station, located a couple blocks west of the Laclede’s Landing Station. Please proceed west on Washington Avenue to 6th Street to reach the station.
  • Going to Laclede’s Landing: Ride MetroLink to the Convention Center MetroLink Station, and proceed east on Washington Avenue to reach Laclede’s Landing a couple blocks away.

East Riverfront MetroLink Station
Options: Two Elevators | One serving westbound trains, one serving eastbound trains
If Elevator is Out of Service: 

  • Leaving East Riverfront (Westbound): Use the working eastbound elevator to reach the MetroLink platform. Board the next eastbound train and travel to the 5th & Missouri MetroLink Station. Exit the train, cross the platform and board a westbound train to finish your trip.
  • Leaving East Riverfront (Eastbound): Use the working westbound elevator to reach the MetroLink platform. Board the next westbound train and travel to the Laclede’s Landing MetroLink Station. Exit the train, cross the platform and board an eastbound train to finish your trip.
  • Going to East Riverfront (Westbound): If the westbound elevator is out of service, remain on the train to the Laclede’s Landing MetroLink Station. Exit the train, cross the platform and board an eastbound train back to East Riverfront and the working eastbound elevator.
  • Going to East Riverfront (Eastbound): If the eastbound elevator is out of service, remain on the train to the 5th & Missouri MetroLink Station. Exit the train, cross the platform and board a westbound train back to East Riverfront and the working westbound elevator.

Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 MetroLink Station
