Metro Voices is more than just a message; it’s a movement rooted in the idea that public transit is a thread that connects us all. This video series aims to amplify the experiences of those who move through our metropolitan area each day and bridge gaps–understanding and appreciating the diverse narratives and shared journeys that are at the heart of our transit system.
Through storytelling, we invite riders to rediscover their city and find common ground in the multitude of experiences that define our region. Whether it’s the student heading to class, the artist on the way to a gallery opening, or the nurse returning home after a night shift, every story matters. By highlighting positive local stories and the real faces of our neighborhoods, we create a different narrative: one of purpose, possibility, and pride within our public transport system.
“Together we ride, together we thrive.”
Meet Maureen

While managing initiatives like Adopt-A-Stop and Community Connect, she also partners with The International Institute to facilitate its Placement program, which plays a pivotal role in welcoming international immigrants and new transplants to St. Louis.
This program provides invaluable guidance to newcomers, helping them navigate the Metro system with confidence. By offering personalized transit education, Maureen empowers new riders so they can easily access opportunities across the region – helping them pave their way to a brighter, more connected future with Metro Transit.

With the help of Metro Call‑A‑Ride and MetroLink, Ryan navigates his commute to work at Busch Stadium and the St. Louis Aquarium, ensuring he arrives on time while helping his parents avoid the hectic downtown traffic.
Ryan’s positive experiences reflect the warmth and kindness of the Metro community, where he has forged meaningful connections with Metro Operators and Transit Security Specialists who enhance his safety and comfort. His enthusiasm for meeting new people and sharing conversations is a testament to the inclusive spirit of our transit system.
