Catch a Free Shuttle to NASCAR’s Enjoy Illinois 300 Race at World Wide Technology Raceway This Weekend
Metro Transit is partnering with St. Clair County Transit District to provide free shuttle rides from two Metro East transit locations to the World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Illinois, this weekend for the NASCAR Enjoy Illinois 300 race, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Toyota 200 and other NASCAR events and concerts. Metro Transit makes it easy to enjoy all the fun without worrying about traffic jams on the highway or parking. You can catch the shuttle on Saturday and Sunday, June 1 and June 2, at the Emerson Park Transit Center, located at 929 North 15th Street in East St. Louis, Illinois. NASCAR fans can park their cars at the free Park-Ride lot at the Emerson Park Transit Center to catch the raceway shuttles on Saturday and Sunday or ride MetroLink or MetroBus to the Emerson Park Transit Center to connect with the shuttles.
Metro Transit and the St. Clair County Transit District will provide a second shuttle location on Sunday only between the Faith Church parking lot (formerly Marcus St. Clair Value Cinema) in Fairview Heights and the raceway. Race fans can park their vehicles on the parking lot at the church located at 50 Ludwig Drive and hop aboard the shuttle.
Shuttle service begins at 8 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday and the last shuttles leave the racetrack 30 minutes after the conclusion of the last concert each night.
