Metro Transit Service Change Scheduled for March 13

[ST. LOUIS, MO/Feb. 15, 2023] Metro Transit will make schedule and/or route adjustments to 30 MetroBus routes in Missouri and Illinois as part of a quarterly service change on Monday, March 13, 2023. Metro Transit regularly monitors and reviews feedback from operators and customers, and uses this feedback and other trip data to make route and schedule updates that provide a better transit experience.
The March 13 quarterly service change includes:
- Schedule adjustments to 19 MetroBus routes operating in the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County in Missouri to improve on-time performance and MetroBus-MetroLink connections.
- Schedule and route adjustments to 12 MetroBus routes in St. Clair County, Illinois – including the introduction of the new #3 Sauget MetroBus route – to improve on-time performance and MetroBus-MetroLink connections, and provide service to new areas of St. Clair County.
- There are no changes to MetroLink service.

New schedules for all of the affected MetroBus routes will be available on that page and on the Transit app beginning on Monday, February 27.

- #19 St. Louis Ave: Weekday and weekend schedule adjustments to improve MetroLink connections.
- #30 Arsenal: Weekday and weekend schedule adjustments to improve MetroLink connections.
- #32 Dr ML King: Weekday and weekend schedule adjustments to improve MetroLink connections.

Illinois MetroBus | Schedule and Route Adjustments
- #1 Main Street-State Street: Weekday and weekend schedule adjustments to improve on-time performance.
- #2 Cahokia Heights: Route and schedule adjustments; increasing to 20-minute frequency from 30-minute frequency, while expanding service reach to now include Cahokia High School, School District 187 Administration Offices, Jerome Lane and Paris Street.
- #3 Sauget (NEW ROUTE): New MetroBus route providing all-day service to Sauget Industrial Park from the 5th & Missouri Transit Center.
- #4 19th & Central: Weekday and weekend schedule adjustments to improve MetroLink connections.
- #5 Missouri Ave – ML King: Weekday and weekend schedule adjustments to improve on-time performance and MetroLink connections.
- #6 Rosemont: Route extended to Fairview Heights Transit Center, replacing service provided by the #13 Caseyville-Marybelle.
- #8 Alta Sita: Route and schedule adjustments; increasing to 20-minute frequency from 30-minute frequency, while expanding service to reach Walmart, Schnucks and other stores in Cahokia Heights. Will no longer serve Church and 50th Street, this area now served by SCCTD Flyer.
- #9 Washington Park: Route and schedule adjustments; route extended to include Washington Park Transit Center and areas of Kingshighway from James Avant Elementary School to Archview MX Park, Gateway Co-Packing, Twin Lake Trucking. Will no longer serve 62nd and Forest.
- #12 O’Fallon-Fairview Heights: Weekday and weekend schedule adjustments to improve on-time performance and MetroLink connections.
- #13 Caseyville-Marybelle: Route and schedule adjustments; expanded service hours from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., providing service between Fairview Heights Transit Center and Madison County Transit’s Collinsville Transit Center. Will no longer operate between Washington Park Transit Center and Flying J Truck Stop, this area now served by SCCTD Flyer.
