Metro Welcomes Opening Day Crowds

When the Redbirds fly on Opening Day, Monday, April 12, MetroBus and MetroLink will be ready to bring Cardinal fans and sports service employees to the stadium. For those who want to park and ride, Metro lots are available in Missouri and Illinois. Click here for a list of all park-ride lot options.

Customers should be aware of construction when entering the North Hanley park-ride lot, near I-70. During construction, the North Hanley lot will have more than 1,500 spaces available. Shrewsbury, with 800 spaces and Brentwood I-64, with 926 spaces, are also popular Missouri park-ride options.

MetroLink trains will run every 20 minutes from the Shrewsbury I-44, Lambert Airport, Fairview Heights and Shiloh-Scott MetroLink Stations until approximately 3:00 p.m. After that, they will run approximately every 15 minutes through the evening rush hour and return to the 20 minute schedule at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Metro’s fare chart is available here. A one-way fare on MetroBus is $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for seniors, children ages 5-12, and customers with disabilities. A one-way fare on MetroLink is $2.25 for adults and $1.10 for seniors, children ages 5-12, and customers with disabilities. Children younger than five ride free on MetroBus and MetroLink. A Metro One-Day Pass provides unlimited rides throughout the entire Metro system on MetroLink and MetroBus. The Metro One-Day Pass is $7.50 for adults, seniors, children ages 5-12, and customers with disabilities.

Metro fares can be purchased at the MetroRide Center located inside America’s Center at 7th & Washington in downtown St. Louis; 314-982-1495. The Center is open 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays. Fares can also be purchased at Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) conveniently located at each MetroLink station. As a reminder, some TVMs will not accept bills larger than $10. Newer TVMs (at many stations in Missouri) will accept $20 bills for large fare denomination purchases.
