MetroLink Work Scheduled October 5-11

MetroLink Red Line riders are encouraged to allow extra time for their commutes October 5-11 as maintenance work on the MetroLink system may result in some delays. To accommodate ongoing  wooden rail tie replacement work, MetroLink will operate on a single track at the North Hanley, UMSL North, UMSL South, and Lambert Airport Terminal #2 MetroLink Stations next week. Passengers traveling to or from the Lambert Airport Terminal #1 MetroLink Station will also be impacted by this maintenance work on Sunday, October 11.

On Monday through Thursday (October 5-7) from 8 p.m. until end of service; Friday (October 9) from 11:30 p.m. until end of service; and Saturday (October 10) from beginning of service until 8 a.m., MetroLink will operate on a single track at the North Hanley, UMSL North and UMSL South Stations.

  • Red Line passengers may experience delays of 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Blue Line service will not be impacted.

On Sunday (October 11) from the beginning of service until end of service. MetroLink will operate on a single track at the Lambert Airport Terminal #2 Station, and a Shuttle Train will transport passengers between the Lambert Airport Terminal #1 and North Hanley MetroLink Stations.

  • Red Line passengers traveling eastbound from either of the Lambert Airport MetroLink Stations will need to ride a Shuttle Train to the North Hanley MetroLink Station where they can transfer to an eastbound Red Line train. Passengers traveling eastbound from either of the Lambert Airport MetroLink Stations may experience delays of 20 minutes.
  • Westbound passengers traveling to either of the Lambert Airport MetroLink Stations will need to exit the Red Line MetroLink train at the North Hanley MetroLink Station and board a Shuttle Train to continue to Lambert Airport. Westbound passengers traveling to Lambert Airport from the North Hanley MetroLink Station may experience delays of 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Blue Line service will not be impacted.
