Reminder: Convention Center MetroLink Station Closes on January 6 (Station to close for several months for infrastructure improvements)
The Convention Center MetroLink Station in downtown St. Louis will temporarily close for several months starting on Monday, January 6. The closure is necessary to allow for maintenance, repairs and upgrades of station infrastructure. The Convention Center Station will reopen when the work is completed, which is expected sometime this spring.
During the temporary closure, customers will not be able to access the Convention Center Station or platform. A Metro Shuttle van will operate between the Civic Center and Convention Center MetroLink Stations during the closure to assist customers traveling to or from destinations near Convention Center. The shuttle will operate every 25 minutes.
Enhancement work was recently completed at the 8th & Pine MetroLink Station, which included installation of new staircases, lighting, structural work and other infrastructure improvements. The 8th & Pine MetroLink Station reopened and returned to service in December.
