Single Track MetroLink Operations near Grand MetroLink Station

MetroLink will operate on a single track Thursday and Friday, December 15 and December 16, beginning at 8 p.m. each night, due to construction work on the Grand Boulevard Bridge in the area near the Grand MetroLink Station. Red Line and Blue Line customers should plan for longer commute times. Customers are reminded that the Grand MetroLink Station remains closed for construction.
SERVICE DETAILS
Starting at 8 p.m. until the end of service – December 15 & 16, MetroLink trains will be operating on a single track in the area of the Grand MetroLink Station.
Blue Line trains will operate only from the Shrewsbury MetroLink Station to the Forest Park MetroLink Station. Eastbound Blue Line passengers traveling between the Central West End MetroLink Station and the Fairview Heights Station should board a Red Line train at the Forest Park MetroLink Station to continue eastbound. Westbound Blue Line passengers traveling between the Fairview Heights MetroLink Station and the Central West End Station will need to take a Red Line train to the Forest Park MetroLink Station to catch a Blue Line train.
Blue Line passengers traveling east of the Forest Park MetroLink Station should plan for 15 to 20 minute delays during the single track operations. Red Line customers can expect delays of 5 to 10 minutes.
**Note: Beginning with the train that departs from the Shiloh-Scott MetroLink Station at 7:21 p.m. on December 15 and 16, westbound Red Line trains from the Shiloh-Scott MetroLink Station will be delayed five minutes from the posted schedule times. That means if a train is scheduled to leave Shiloh-Scott at 7:21 p.m., it will now depart at 7:26 p.m.
