Enjoy Some Holiday Cheer on Metro Transit This Month
Return to BlogSanta Claus, carolers and even a live reindeer are helping us ring in the holiday season this month on Metro Transit. Throughout the month of December, you and other transit riders can visit with Santa, enjoy holiday music, and enjoy candy canes and other festive giveaways during your commute. Check out the locations and times below to enjoy some holiday cheer!
North Hanley Transit Center (4300 Hanley Road, St. Louis, MO 63134)
Thursday, December 7 | 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Stop by to get photos and fun giveaways with Santa Claus, who will start his visit at the North Hanley Transit Center and then ride around on the Red Line.
Various Transit Centers
Friday, December 8 | 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Metro Transit, Citizens for Modern Transit, and other partners will be at transit centers throughout the region greeting customers and handing out “Stay Toasty on Transit” scarves and candy canes. If you stop by the Belleville Transit Center, you can see Santa, a live reindeer and enjoy other games, crafts and other festive activities.
Civic Center Transit Center (401 S. 14th Street, St. Louis, MO 63103)
Tuesday, December 12 | 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Stop by to get photos and fun giveaways with Santa Claus, who will start his visit at the Civic Center Transit Center and then ride the train to visit with passengers.
5th & Missouri Transit Center (150 N. 6th Street, East St. Louis, IL 62201)
Thursday, December 14 | 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Enjoy holiday music from Celia’s Yuletide Express at the 5th & Missouri Transit Center and then on the train as the group performs while traveling through Illinois.
Civic Center Transit Center (401 S. 14th Street, St. Louis, MO 63103)
Monday, December 18 | 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Enjoy holiday music from Celia’s Yuletide Express inside the interior seating area at the Civic Center Transit Center, as well free candy canes.
Forest Park-DeBaliviere Transit Center (250 DeBaliviere Ave., St. Louis, MO 63112)
Wednesday, December 20 | 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Stop by to get photos and fun giveaways with Santa Claus, who will start his visit at the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Transit Center and then ride the train along the Blue Line to visit with passengers.
Gifts of Transit – On MetroLink, MetroBus and Metro Call‑A‑Ride
You might find a surprise gift during your commute! Keep an eye out during your trips this month for special holiday envelopes randomly placed on MetroLink trains, and Metro buses and Metro Call‑A‑Ride vans containing free transit passes you can use yourself — or share the gift of transit with someone else.
