Flashback Friday

Return to Blog

You’re looking at the Memorial Plaza at the corner of 14th and Market Streets in 1953. The bus crossing the intersection was part of a new line at the time. These passenger coaches were the largest and last of the so-called “Old Look” designs and were built between 1950 and 1959.

Have a great weekend!

It looks the Soldier’s Memorial in the upper left part of the picture and the fountains in front of it.
Location 14th Street turing onto Market.
    Time Early 1940’s
The Original Kiel complex is on the next block if you were to stay on 14th. Behind you is the Main post office. While turning on Market you are heading to City Hall
