Flashback Friday!

You are looking at the Castlewood Train Depot and Washington Hotel in the 1920s.

According to CastlewoodMo.com, visitors from the city came to Castlewood by the thousands. Most rode the Missouri-Pacific Railroad along the north side of the river to the Fern Glen, Mountain Ridge, and Castlewood depots, or on the Frisco Railroad along the south side to Morschels and Deicke. The crowded train rides themselves began and ended the weekend merriment with camaraderie and singing. Click here and here for more details. Happy Friday!
