Metro Offers Free Shuttle Service to St. Louis Symphony Concert

Return to Blog

Update: Shuttles will not stop at The Boathouse due to road a closure. Instead, the shuttle will make stops at the World’s Fair Pavilion, Pagoda Circle by The Muny and the Dennis & Judith Jones Visitor Center.

Metro has partnered with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra to make it easy for you to enjoy a free concert under the night sky in Forest Park next week.

On Wednesday, September 13, hop on a MetroBus shuttle and ride for free to the Symphony’s concert at Art Hill, which starts at 7 p.m. and includes classical favorites and a fireworks show to end the night.

Instead of worrying about parking, traffic or walking long distances, park at any one of 21 free Metro Park-Ride lots in Missouri and Illinois, ride MetroLink to the Forest Park-DeBaliviere MetroLink Station, and then hop on the special MetroBus shuttle for a free, quick and convenient trip to the concert.

The shuttle pick-up and drop-off area will be located near the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station on DeBaliviere Avenue. The shuttles will operate every 15 minutes between 5:25 p.m. and 9:40 p.m., and they will make stops at the Dennis & Judith Jones Visitor Center parking lots, Pagoda Circle by The Muny and World’s Fair Pavilion as they travel between the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station and the concert venue on Art Hill. The last shuttle returning to the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station after the concert ends will leave at 9:40 p.m.

Please note that while the concert MetroBus shuttle is free to ride, a paid ticket or pass is required to ride regular MetroLink or MetroBus service.

To plan your trip to the Symphony’s summer concert on Art Hill, download the Metro On The Go app, use the online TripPlanner, or contact Metro Transit Information, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 314-231-2345 or 618-271-2345.
