Platform Heaters Can Help You Stay Warm in Cold Weather

With the seasons changing and the weather getting colder, remember to take advantage of platform heaters to help you stay warm during your MetroLink commute.
All outdoor MetroLink Stations have platform heaters. They can be used during MetroLink service hours when the temperature is 45 degrees Fahrenheit or below.
Each heater has a green button – press it to get the heater started and it will stay on for 15 minutes. If you ever need additional time, just press the button again once it turns off.
All platform heaters have signs explaining how to use them, but if you have any questions contact Customer Service at 314.982.1406 (call) or 314.207.9786 (text).

So what do we do when three of your scheduled Southbound Grand buses don’t show up while we stand in that 20 mph Northwest wind???
I was able to use one of these heaters recently and was very appreciative to have it!
There are heaters at the Hampton Gravois Transit Center. Please reconfigure them so we can press the green button to get warm. As it is now, we are down there freezing. We look up and see heaters. Heaters that could be on, but they are not. Mocking us. What is the point of having heaters if you can’t use them when you are cold?

On top of that, the bus doesn’t come. I am down there having to wait for another bus, in the cold. Sitting under heaters that are not on. ????
It would probably save electricity if there was an arrow above each course bonding button because I just press the button on the westbound side at the Clayton station and I wanted the eastbound side heaters to come on. I’ve noticed the same issue at other stations. Also most of the lighting is out other than the few of them that are still flickering before they’re out completely where you catch the buses at the Clayton Metrolink station.
