Take Metro to the Soulard Mardi Gras Parade
Return to BlogMetro Transit makes it easy for everyone to let the good times roll and enjoy all of the festivities at the Soulard Mardi Gras, while avoiding street closures, traffic and searching for parking.
This year, due to our current operator shortage, Metro will not be operating the special Mardi Gras MetroBus shuttle service.
MetroLink is a great, convenient option for enjoying all of the festivities, with the Stadium MetroLink Station located just a short walk from all the action. Avoid parking headaches by leaving your vehicle at one of 20 free Park-Ride lots in Missouri and Illinois and ride MetroLink to the Stadium Station.
Trains will operate every 20 minutes on the Red Line and Blue Line on February 26, with trains arriving and departing every 10 minutes at the Stadium Station and at all MetroLink stations between the Forest Park-DeBaliviere and Fairview Heights Stations. MetroLink platforms will be monitored for crowds throughout the day, and extra personnel will be available throughout the system to assist passengers.
MetroBus is another great way to enjoy the celebration, with the #10 Gravois-Lindell, #30 Arsenal and #73 Carondelet MetroBus routes serving stops near Soulard. Please note that these routes may be operating on a reroute, due to the Mardi Gras Grand Parade and festivites.
Reminders before you ride:
