Take Metro Transit to St. Louis Cardinals Opening Day
Return to BlogUpdate: Metro and its partners have rescheduled events at the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44, North Hanley and Fairview Heights Transit Centers due weather. Once a new date is finalized, we’ll let you know.
Metro Transit is the winning play for convenient, easy access to Opening Day festivities.
Thousands of baseball fans will be heading to Busch Stadium for the Cardinals home opener on Friday, April 5. Metro is a great option, not only for baseball fans, but for anyone who wants to avoid traffic, road construction and parking challenges.
The Cardinals will take on the San Diego Padres at 3:15 p.m., but before game, there will be lots of Home Opener food, fun and entertainment for families and fans outside the stadium. Leave your car at any one of 21 free Park-Ride lots, purchase a $5 round-trip MetroLink ticket and ride to the Stadium MetroLink Station. You can also take MetroLink to one of the other five downtown MetroLink stations.
MetroBus in another option. Catch the #40 North Broadway or #99 Downtown Trolley routes or ride on any one of 19 MetroBus routes to the Civic Center Transit Center, which is located a few blocks west of Busch Stadium. Metro will have additional security and staff located throughout the MetroLink system.
