This St. Clair County Transit District project established a new 16,000 square foot Public Safety Center at the Emerson Park Transit Center, which provides restroom facilities for transit customers, and also houses St. Clair County CENCOM West 911 Emergency Dispatch, St. Clair County MetroLink Sheriff offices, and a backup location for MetroLink Operations Control Center.Downtown Tunnel Repairs and Fire Suppression Upgrades
Crews are performing needed structural maintenance and repairs on the downtown tunnels MetroLink uses, which are more than 150 years old. This includes construction of new piping and fire suppression to ensure safety on the MetroLink system.East Riverfront Station – Elevator and Stairwell Rehabilitation
Project included the full replacement of two multi-level staircases at East Riverfront Station, to serve both eastbound and westbound platforms. Project also focused on repairs and replacement of key equipment for both elevators at the station.
Secure Platform Plan – Phase I
