No Weekend MetroLink Service Between Delmar Loop & Forest Park Stations | 12/13 - 12/14

DETAILS

MetroLink will not operate between the Delmar Loop and Forest Park-DeBaliviere MetroLink Stations on Saturday, December 13 and Sunday, December 14 due to the demolition of a bridge that goes over the MetroLink tracks between those stations.

MetroLink Station Shuttles will carry riders by bus between the Delmar Loop and Forest Park-DeBaliviere Stations this weekend. Riders who need to travel between those stations are encouraged to plan ahead and allow an additional 20 minutes to avoid delays on their weekend commutes. 

MetroLink trains outside of this area will operate on regular weekend schedules. MetroLink will resume normal service on Monday, December 15.

University City-Big Bend Station Temporarily Closed: December 18 - Early January

DETAILS

The University City-Big Bend MetroLink Station will temporarily close for approximately three weeks starting on Thursday, December 18, for infrastructure and safety upgrades.

MetroLink trains will not stop at the University City-Big Bend Station during the closure. A Metro Shuttle van is available to help passengers traveling to and from destinations near the University City-Big Bend Station during the temporary closure.

The Metro Shuttle van will operate between the Clayton MetroLink Station and University City-Big Bend MetroLink Station every 20 minutes during normal operating hours.

The University City-Big Bend Station’s westbound entrance and elevator (located on the north side of Big Bend Blvd.), will close starting on Monday, December 15. 

Riders will be able to access both westbound and eastbound trains by using the station’s eastbound entrance and ramp (located on the south side of Big Bend Blvd.) through Wednesday, December 17.

The University City-Big Bend Station will completely close for approximately three weeks starting on Thursday, December 18. MetroLink trains will not stop or serve the station during the temporary closure.

Fairview Heights and Washington Park Stations  Single-Track Details:

On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from Beginning of Revenue Service until After Revenue Service, to minimize disturbance of the 79th St. retaining wall, MetroLink will continue single-track at Fairview Heights and Washington Park Stations. 

During single-track operation:

• Blue Line Trains will only operate from Emerson Park Station to Shrewsbury Station 
• Westbound Blue Line passengers traveling between the Fairview Heights Station and the JJK Station should board a Red Line train to Emerson Park Station to connect with a Blue Line train.
• Eastbound Blue Line Trains will depart Shrewsbury Station 5 minutes prior to the scheduled departure and hold for time at Brentwood-I64 Station.

• Red Line service may experience delays of up to 5 minutes.
• Customers should allow an additional 10 minutes when transferring to the Blue Line.
