MetroLink Special Operating Plan on March 31st - April 13th

DETAILS

Fairview Heights and Washington Park Stations  Single-Track Details:

On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from Beginning of Revenue Service until After Revenue Service, to minimize disturbance of the 79th St. retaining wall, MetroLink will continue single-track at Fairview Heights and Washington Park Stations. 

During single-track operation:

• Blue Line Trains will only operate from Emerson Park Station to Shrewsbury Station 
• Westbound Blue Line passengers traveling between the Fairview Heights Station and the JJK Station should board a Red Line train to Emerson Park Station to connect with a Blue Line train.
• Eastbound Blue Line Trains will depart Shrewsbury Station 5 minutes prior to the scheduled departure and hold for time at Brentwood-I64 Station.

• Red Line service may experience delays of up to 5 minutes.
• Customers should allow an additional 10 minutes when transferring to the Blue Line.

Convention Center Station Closed for Station Improvement Project

DETAILS

The Convention Center Station is temporarily closed for several months due to a station improvement project including maintenance, repairs and upgrades. There is no MetroLink access at the station. The station is expected to reopen when the project is completed in the spring.

A Metro Shuttle is operating during the closure between the Civic Center and Convention Center MetroLink Stations to assist you when you’re traveling to or from destinations near Convention Center. The Metro Shuttle van operates every 25 minutes. Visit the NextStop blog for more details.

Southwest Entrance to University City-Big Bend Station Closed for Construction

DETAILS

The southwest entrance to the eastbound platform of the University City-Big Bend MetroLink Station will be closed from March 31 to April 30, 2025, due to construction work at the station. 

During this closure, customers will need to use the southeast entrance to travel to and from the eastbound platform at the University City-Big Bend Station. The southeast entrance is located on the east side of Big Bend Boulevard, south of Forest Park Parkway.
