Blue Line MetroLink Trains Resume Service to Emerson Park Station Starting Monday, February 24

DETAILS

Blue Line MetroLink trains will resume service to the Emerson Park MetroLink Station beginning on Monday, February 24. This new service plan was developed to extend Blue Line MetroLink service and reduce delays and overcrowding, while maintaining safe operations.

The current adjustments to MetroLink service will remain in effect until Monday:  

• Blue Line MetroLink trains are only operating between the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 and Forest Park-DeBaliviere Stations. You will need to transfer between Blue Line and Red Line trains at the Forest Park-DeBaliviere Station to continue your trip. Please allow an extra ten minutes if you need to transfer trains, and you may need to adjust your trip if the added time impacts your bus connections.

• Minor delays possible on Red Line MetroLink trains. Red Line MetroLink trains will operate on a single track between the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Center and Fairview Heights Stations, which may cause five- to ten-minute delays for Red Line customers.

Convention Center Station Closed for Station Improvement Project

DETAILS

The Convention Center Station is temporarily closed for several months due to a station improvement project including maintenance, repairs and upgrades. There is no MetroLink access at the station. The station is expected to reopen when the project is completed in the spring.

A Metro Shuttle is operating during the closure between the Civic Center and Convention Center MetroLink Stations to assist you when you’re traveling to or from destinations near Convention Center. The Metro Shuttle van operates every 25 minutes. Visit the NextStop blog for more details.

Modified MetroLink Service to Continue Until Further Notice | Limited Blue Line Service

We understand how challenging the past month has been with modified MetroLink service, and we truly appreciate your patience during this time.

Unfortunately, the current adjustments to MetroLink service will need to remain in effect until further notice. While we had hoped to return to normal MetroLink operations soon, the situation has proven more complex than initially anticipated. 

These service adjustments remain in effect:

• Blue Line MetroLink trains are only operating between the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 and Forest Park-DeBaliviere Stations.
